LEGACY FARM
Polish
The most entertaining chickens in your flock!
The breed name Polish came from the Polish army's feathered caps because it resembled their feathered crests. The chickens originated in Spain and then brought to Holland, where the Dutch perfected their coloring. They became a popular bird in France, then started appearing in the United States around the 1830's.
Polish chickens lay about 180 medium sized white eggs each year. The mature roosters are approximately 4lbs and hens are 3.5lbs.
These chickens are fun to watch and tend to be very friendly and personable.
We offer splash, white crested blue, gold laced, and tolbunt. We also have a few frizzle hens!
